Cameron Green shows support for Rohit Sharma ahead of RCB game

Mahela Jayawardene - Rohit Sharma - Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians are set to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede, hoping to return to winning ways. However, their captain Rohit Sharma has been struggling with the bat in IPL 2023, with two consecutive ducks in the last two matches. Nonetheless, his teammate, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, has expressed his support for the skipper ahead of the crucial match.

Despite Rohit’s poor form, Green believes that the team is fully behind him and that he will soon return to his usual form. Green’s unwavering faith in the veteran opener is expected to give the team a much-needed boost ahead of the match.

“We know the allegiance of Rohit with Mumbai Indians and everything that he has done in his career. So, we absolutely back him. He can come back and perform for us, he has batted beautifully in a few games, showing really good tempo on the top. So, we back Rohit all the way,”

Cameron Green said.

We have to put our best performances out there: Green

Both Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore have 10 points each after playing ten matches each. They are set to face each other in their next match. Green is hopeful that the players would have learned from their previous ten games. And he will be merciless in all aspects of the game to secure victory in their upcoming fixtures.

“Hopefully everything we learned in the first 10 games holds us in good stead for the rest of the season, that’s going to be ruthless where if you win a game you’re second and if you lose, you’re second last. We have to put our best performances out there and we have an incredible team when we perform, so we’re going to back ourselves,”

Green further added.
