English pace sensation, Jofra Archer finally made his first-class comeback after 18 months. Archer played against Lions and bowled 9 overs. Moreover, he is confident of making a comeback for the national side very soon.

Jofra Archer swayed the world with his exceptional bowling skills. His perfect yorkers at rocket speed made him the most dangerous bowler to face in white ball cricket. He was regarded as the next big thing in world cricket. However, fate had other plans for the pacer. Jofra Archer was ruled out of international cricket owing to a stress fracture. Then followed a series of injuries. Archer could not recover fully. He had back to back 3 injuries. Hence, he was out for a long time.

Jofra Archer has not played any cricket since 2021. But, now he is feeling all good and itching to come back on the field donning the England jersey. Archer will return to international cricket with a series against South Africa. Moreover, he will make his test debut next year Ashes.

“It’s weird feeling this way again,” Jofra Archer delighted to be back on the field

Jorfa Archer played against Lions and bowled full 9 overs without any issues. He spoke to the media after that and said that he was feeling fine. He stated that it was a big day for him as he was making his comeback after 18 long months.

“It’s nothing to worry about at all. It’s weird feeling this way again. I’ll take this! It was really nice, yesterday was a really, really big day. It was a small day but still a big day”

Jofra Archer further added that he did enough practice before the game, but nothing beats the on-field experience.

“We did match scenarios this whole month, we did stuff close to match intensity but nothing compares to being out there. This is probably the first time I’ve been so close to umpires in about 18 months as well! So, you know – it’s really good to be back, and being here with all the guys is probably the best way to do it as well”

Jofra Archer further stated his desire to play all formats, but the physios won’t allow that. He further said that he is ready to return to the longer format as well, but the coaches will have the final say on that.

“I would love to play every game, but I don’t think the physio would let me. Our squad is strong enough that I can play all formats for the all year round. I don’t think there’s always that issue of that much cricket”

“There’s not a lot of Test cricket when the year turns. So it probably depends on what the coaches want me to do, but I’m more than prepared to do some extra bowling and stuff in and around some other cricket just to put my name in the hat”
