As per the latest reports, Chennai Super Kings middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu has decided to sign up as a wicketkeeper in this year’s auction. He became a part of the team in 2018 and has won two titles with them.

Chennai Super Kings also had to let go of some of their very good players like Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina. There is no rule of RTM in this season. So, it will be quite interesting to see where Rayudu lands up after the auction.

The decision to sign up as a wicketkeeper took everyone by surprise. In the 2018 season, Rayudu had put a base price of 50 lakhs but was picked up at a much higher price by the CSK. Therefore, he has now enrolled himself into the INR 2 crore bracket for the auction.

Ambati Rayudu has scored 3916 runs in the tournament so far and has one century and 21 half-centuries to his credit and has a strike rate of 127.47 in the tournament. He is a very aggressive batter who has the ability to strike big when he’s in good form.
