Amit Mishra, the experienced leg-spinner has declared his plans on making a comeback in next year’s Indian Premier League.

Mishra has been a consistent member of the Delhi Capitals until the 2021 season and has three hat-tricks to his name.

He has played 154 games, bagging 166 wickets in the cash-rich tournament.

Mishra took his hat tricks in the 2008, 2011 and 2013 seasons of the IPL.

Mishra was released by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the Mega Auctions.

He then registered himself up for auction at a base price of INR 1.5 crores.

But, none of the ten teams showed any interest in picking up the leggie and he went unsold in the Auctions.

Amit Mishra is the third-highest wicket-taker in the IPL after Lasith Malinga and Dwayne Bravo.

Although he is 39 years old, Mishra still has some years of cricket left in him to continue playing in the IPL.

Parth Jindal posted a tweet after the February 2022 Auctions in which he mentioned Amit Mishra’s contributions to the Delhi Capitals.

He also asked Mishra to join the Delhi Capitals in whatever capacity he deems fit for himself.

However, Mishra gave a strong reply to Jindal’s tweet and said that he would love to be a part of the Delhi franchise but would like to contribute more to the side as a player rather than a coach.
