Daniel Vettori and Ian Bishop are interested in the idea of Arshdeep Singh playing for India.

They are of the opinion that Arshdeep has the goods to deliver both in the powerplay as well as in death overs.

What India needs right now is a quality death bowler who can restrict the opposition during a run-chase.

They already have the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel in the squad.

If Arshdeep also joins the team, it will be beneficial for India in the long run.

Although Arshdeep has still not mastered the art of picking up wickets, he sure has the plans in his head against all the batsmen.

He rules the batsmen as he sets the delivery depending upon the batsmen he’s bowling to.

Arshdeep has an economy of just 5.66 in the death overs and bowls at 140 kph in the IPL.

For Punjab, he has been a very important asset so far and he has done a pretty decent job in the IPL.

If he keeps up this performance, then he might earn his international call up for India.

In an IPL interview, Arshdeep told Bishop that he is trying to improve upon his pace.

Bishop feels that this increase in pace will help Arshdeep to pick up wickets as well.

India so far have used a lot of different left-arm pacers in the last five years- Barinder Sran, Jaydev Unadkat, Khaleel Ahmed and T Natarajan.

The challenging task for Arshdeep here is to sustain his form if he gets entry into the Indian team.

Both Vettori and Bishop feel that Arshdeep still has a long way to go and he is not yet a finished product as he still needs to master his wicket-taking ability to fully develop as a player.
