Royal Challengers’ go-to bowler Harshal Patel recently revealed the secret of his success in the T20s.
Harshal Patel in an interview with Gaurav Kapoor revealed that he is thankful to Zaheer Khan for teaching him the basics of T20 bowling.
Harshal Patel won the purple cap in last year’s IPL where he took 32 wickets that gave his team a chance in the playoffs.
In the 2022 Mega Auctions, Harshal Patel went once again to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 10.75 crores.
Harshal became a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2012.
He was once bought by the Delhi Capitals in 2018.
Harshal then went back to RCB in 2021.
Previously, Harshal didn’t get many games in the IPL and was mainly warming the benches and getting the occasional games here and there.
Thus, he continued to practice his bowling and when he was bought by the RCB, he repaid the franchise’s faith in him.
He bowled with his whole heart and soul which made him the leading wicket-taker in last year’s IPL.
Last year, Harshal had a great outing against the Mumbai Indians where he took a five-wicket haul.
Harshal even said that when guys like Virat, Maxwell and AB say encouraging things to him, it’s a huge confidence booster for him.
