It was a thriller match between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad that the former won by 5 wickets.

Starting with the toss, Gujarat called it right and chose to bowl first.

In the first innings, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram and Shashank Singh played brilliantly taking the team score to a mighty 195/6.

Mohammed Shami was the stand-out performer with the ball for the Gujarat Titans taking 3/39 in his four overs.

Lockie Ferguson proved to be costly today as he gave away 52 runs and went wicketless.

Gujarat Titans needed to chase down 196 in 120 balls.

Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill gave a great start to Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat tumbled a bit with Hardik Pandya and David Miller failing to step up to the opportunity.

It was then the power-hitting of Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan who completely took the game away from Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The star for SRH was young pacer Umran Malik who took a fifer for 25 runs.

Kane Williamson, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper said that it was a great game of cricket for them and they will look for the positive in this match. Praised Umran Malik for his wonderful performance with the ball. Mentioned that death bowling has been their forte but these things do happen. Added that Marco Jansen has been pretty good in the tournament and that they will look forward to their upcoming games in the season.

Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans skipper said that he is always joking in the dressing room that God is helping them win matches but he is right now very happy with the team’s performance. Added that players are allowed to express themselves freely while the support staff takes all the pressure. Mentioned that he is waiting for the right time to bowl but will only do so when the team requires it. Praised both Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill for giving a great start to the team. Ended by saying that players are pretty chilled out in the dressing room while the support staff must be given credit for their hard work.
