Mumbai Indians have done yet another signing for their franchise.

This time it is South African Tristan Stubbs who has come in for England’s Tymal Mills.

Mills suffered an ankle injury and was thus ruled out of the remainder of the IPL.

He will play the T20 Blast’s first match for Sussex on May 26th as the injury is a minor one.

Tymal Mills played 5 matches for Mumbai Indians this season, picking up 6 wickets at an economy rate of 11.17.

His last match was against Lucknow Super Giants on the 16th of April where he gave away 54 runs and remained wicketless from his three overs.

Stubbs is a 21-year-old middle-order batter who has joined Mumbai Indians for a base price of INR 20 lakhs this season.

He has had an excellent domestic season, scoring 293 runs at an average of 48.83 with a strike rate of 183.12 for his team Warriors in the just concluded CSA Challenge.

In the T20s, he has played 17 matches, scoring 506 runs which also includes three fifties and a strike rate of 157.14.

Stubbs was also a part of South Africa A for their ongoing Zimbabwe tour.
