It seems that destiny is raining blows upon blows on the defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

Firstly, they are dealing with injuries to Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad and are awaiting the final report of the former.

As if this was not enough, their situation has gone into further jeopardy as they are awaiting the arrival of English all-rounder, Moeen Ali.

Ali is waiting for the clearance of his travel documents in the UK and has not come to India yet.

The Indian embassy has up till now, not cleared Moeen to fly to India for the IPL.

CSK’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan said in a statement that they are doing everything to solve the issue.

Even the BCCI is helping out CSK in this regard.

Chennai Super Kings are camped at Surat for the past month and will play the tournament opener at Wankhede.

Similar to Moeen Ali, one of Gujarat Titans’ coaching staff is also held up in the UK for the clearance of his travel documents.

Abdul Naim is all set to coach the new franchise in this IPL.

Mithun Manhas has also been added as a fielding coach to the side.

A Gujarat Titans official said that they are trying to get the issue resolved.
