Team India have the best run of form in the international circuit recently.

They won all their home series last year and have been quite dominant as well.

But, when it comes to playing in overseas conditions, India faltered and lost some of their overseas tours last year.

They even had an early exit from last year’s ICC T20 World Cup in UAE after being defeated by Pakistan and New Zealand.

So, India now have 2 major events coming up in 2022. They are the Asia Cup 2022 and ICC T20 World Cup in October-November.

Thus, India needs to have a talented pool of players who can win games for the team in any situation.

And there are a lot of players who are currently performing well in the ongoing edition of the IPL. The selectors are thus keeping a close watch on the tournament.

Those players who perform consistently well then go on to play for Team India.

Recently, former India captain and player, Mohammed Azharuddin has selected his top 5 all-rounders who should play for India.

He has firstly chosen Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin as both of them have vast experience.

The choice of Ashwin and Jadeja has also been made as they are the spin-bowling options

For his pacer all-rounders, Azharuddin has picked the likes of Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur.

Azharuddin said in the interview that if you keep Hardik Pandya into the squad, you need someone of the same calibre.

He also revealed that if Hardik Pandya suffers another injury then they should have options at the ready.

This is where Azharuddin wants Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur to step up.

Commenting on Ashwin, Azharuddin said that the spinner has done well for the Rajasthan Royals in this season of the IPL.
