Former India skipper and ex-BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly has rejoined hands with IPL franchise Delhi Capitals.

He has been appointed as Director of Cricket for the franchise and will also overlook the sister franchises.

These are Dubai Capitals in ILT20 and Pretoria Capitals in SA20.

Moreover, Ganguly has previously been a part of the Delhi Capitals when he was a mentor for the side in 2019.

Additionally, one of the sources from the IPL has said,

Yes, Sourav will be back with Delhi Capitals from this year. The discussions and modalities are over. He has worked with the franchise, shares a good comfort level with owners and if he would have worked in IPL, it would have always been with DC.

Ganguly replaced by Roger Binny as BCCI President

Previously, Sourav Ganguly stepped down from his post as BCCI President to allow former India cricketer, Roger Binny to take his place as the next President.

For the next season, the Delhi Capitals have made some really good signings in the IPL mini-auction at Kochi.

They have included the likes of Rilee Rossouw, Phil Salt, Ishant Sharma, and Manish Pandey.

Moreover, Mukesh Kumar has become the Capitals’ most expensive uncapped player for the 2023 season.

That’s why the Capitals have a mixed bag this season of the IPL.

It is also coming to the surface that Ganguly and Delhi Capitals’ head coach, Ricky Ponting are having serious discussions for the upcoming season of the IPL.
