England speedster, 30-year old Anya Shrubsole has finally decided to call it quits on her international career.
She now finishes off her career with 173 international games and with 227 wickets.
She was part of 2 Ashes-winning and 2 World Cup-winning squads in her career.
Shrubsole will however continue to play domestic cricket.
Her last international game was the recent final of the ICC Women’s World Cup against Australia Women.
She wrote out a note for all her fans and thanked them for their support and also was thankful for her family who supported her right from the start of her career.
Shrubsole also added that she never thought that she would be playing international cricket for England for 14 years.
Clare Connor, Managing Director of England Women’s Cricket also gave her warm wishes to Anya Shrubsole and wished her all the best for her future endeavours.
She thanked Shrubsole for inspiring little girls who wished to play cricket just like her.
