In the third over, the Strikers dealt the Sixers their first major blow by dismissing dangerous Healy. A series of constant wickets followed. The middle order collapsed completely. Sixers Women strongest suit, their batting could not step up at the main stage.

Maitlan Brown did try at the end but could not cross the finish line. As a result, Syndey Sixers Women fell short by mere 10 runs and lost the finals. Adelaide Strikers Women won their maiden Women’s Big Bash Title in 8 seasons.
