Indian pacer, Mohammad Siraj staged a perfect revenge on Liton Das after getting involved in a heated sledging moment.

India is facing Bangladesh in the first test match at Chattogram. The men in blue posted a high total of 404 in the first innings. The hosts were shattered on the first delivery of their innings when Shanto was bowled by Mohammad Siraj. Bangladesh lost Yasir Ali shortly after and found itself in deep trouble.

Indian pacers were breathing fire with the new ball. However, Zakir Hasan and Liton Das looked to build a partnership and stabilised the innings. But, Liton’s stay at the crease was short-lived as Mohammad Siraj cleaned him up with a fiery delivery. Interestingly, right before Das’s wicket, Siraj and Das were involved in a heated exchange.

Mohammad Siraj and Liton Das involved in a war of words

Mohammad Siraj was bowling at the top of his game when Liton Das came in to bat. Siraj beat Das with a peach of a delivery. Das was looking to attach but completely missed reading the ball. Siraj threw a few words at him to which he replied in animated action.

Mohammad Siraj did not escalate the situation at the moment and went back on his run up. However, in the very next delivery, Mohammad Siraj bowled Liton Das with a beautiful inswinger. The stumps shattered, and Siraj had the last laugh.

Siraj and his slip cordon, Virat Kohli, gave Liton Das a perfect send-off by animating Das’s own gesture that he showed to Siraj earlier. Surely the duo enjoyed the right-hander’s wicket.

Bangladesh was sent packing in just 150 runs. India had the option to impose a follow-on deiced against it. KL Rahul and co. came out to bat. Gill looked solid, but India lost the skipper’s wicket. However, Gill and Pujara stood strong at the crease and registered centuries individually. Right after Pujara’s ton, India declared the innings and handed Bangladesh a chase of 523 runs. The hosts remained wicketless at the end of Day 3.
