Siraj reminisces about his days with Sunrisers Hyderabad

Siraj

India and Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer, Mohammed Siraj has recently spoken about his IPL debut for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The 29-year-old was picked back in the 2017 auction by the Orange Army for a whopping 2.5 crores. Additionally, Siraj is now ranked 2nd in the ICC Men’s ODI bowlers list.

Furthermore, just like Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj also invokes fear in the best batters in world cricket. And just like any bowler in today’s generation, Siraj also saw his rise through the IPL.

Therefore, he was quite emotional when talking about his IPL debut for the Sunrisers when RCB faced them in yesterday’s match.

Says Siraj,

I was selected for the first time in 2017 for SRH, I had not played the opening matches. After six matches, I got an opportunity when Tom Moody called me and asked, “Where are you mate?” and I told him “I am home” and he said you are playing today. At that moment, I didn’t know what was happening to me. I immediately headed back to the stadium and made my debut against the Delhi Capitals.

Siraj unable to express his pressure feelings when playing for SRH

Meanwhile, the pacer from Hyderabad has also stated in the chat that he still cannot express the feelings of pressure that he felt in that first match against the Delhi Capitals.

This season, Siraj has 16 wickets in 12 games and is currently sitting in 9th place in the Purple Cap race. He will look to add more wickets and climb up the ladder and take more wickets.

Added Siraj in the chat,

It was my first time playing in front of a packed stadium. I was so nervous. I can’t express the pressure I was feeling, my body had become heavy, when running I felt like my legs got heavy that I got hit for three fours in a row, but in the fourth ball I got a wicket, so the pressure was released.
