IPL 2023 auction is just days away. Team authorities have arrived in Kochi for the auction. The auction will go on all day, and a total of 405 players will go under the hammer. Moreover, a good set of international players will be up for grabs. Apart from a few names, the majority of marquee Indian players have been retained. However, the youngsters look promising as well.
MS Dhoni will lead the four-time champions, CSK, for probably the last time. Furthermore, DJ Bravo could not get retained, and hence he announced his retirement. CSK still has a few slots to fill for a balanced side.

1. Sam Curran
Sam Curran was a part of the CSK side in 2022 but could not take part due to injury. However, they released the all-rounder. CSK desperately needs an explosive all-rounder to fill in DJ Bravo’s shoes. Sam will be a good fit for the team as he can strengthen the pace unit as well.
2. Narayan Jagadeesan
Tamil Nadu top order batter, Narayan Jagadeesan, is in the unreal form at the moment. He scored four consecutive centuries, including one double century, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Moreover, he even scored a hundred in the first game of the Ranji Trophy as well. Hence, not only CSK, but a majority of franchises will target the youngster as he can strengthen the top order perfectly.
3. Jason Holder
Jason Holder is another all-rounder, and CSK can target him to take Bravo’s place. Since CSK does not have a good purse amount, Sam Curran can slip out of their hands. Hence, Holder is yet another option for the yellow army in IPL 2023 auction.
4. Odean Smith
Odean Smith showed exceptional hitting skills in the previous edition. He can be a good fit as well for CSK in the lower order. Moreover, Smith can also chip in a few overs in the middle.
5. Jaydev Unadkat
CSK lacks a quality pacer to support Deepak Chahar on the other hand. Jaydev is in sublime form as he led his team to 2 domestic titles this season. Hence, Jaydev will be a hot pick for all the franchises in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction.
