Agarkar joins DC as assistant coach

In a recent report, Delhi Capitals has announced that Ajit Agarkar will now be joining as an assistant coach for their franchise.

Agarkar has now joined hands with head coach Ricky Ponting, James Hopes, bowling coach and two more assistant coaches- Shane Watson and Pravin Amre.

Delhi Capitals also bid farewell to Mohammed Kaif and Ajay Ratra, the assistant coaches from the previous season.

Agarkar expressed his pleasure in joining the Delhi outfit as assistant coach.

He told that the franchise is in the able hands of Rishabh Pant and is a flourishing side.

He also praised Ricky Ponting by calling him a legend of the game and an able head coach.

Agarkar is excited to be part of this franchise and looks forward to creating memories as a coach.

Agarkar played 26 Tests, 191 ODIs and 4 T20Is for India. He also played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils in the IPL as well.

He is now doing the job of a commentator and gives commentary during India’s matches.
