In today’s semifinal against India, England completely battered the bowling lineup with their firey shots.

Both Jos Buttler and Alex Hales stayed on the crease till the end and ensured that England had all their wickets in hand.

The target was chased down in just 16 overs by the Three Lions who now advance to the finals of the tournament.

England will face off against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the 13th of November.

In the post-match press conference, Hales talked about England’s emphatic win, his conversations with Jos Buttler, and much more.

Hales also talked about how he never thought of playing in a World Cup again after failing a drug test.

A huge occasion, really happy with the way I played. I think this is one of the best grounds to bat in in the world. Great value to hit your shots with the short square boundaries, and a ground I have good memories at.

Adding further, Hales said,

I never thought I’d play in a World Cup again, and to get a chance is a special feeling. It’s a country I love playing in. Jos was unbelievable out there.

India posted a target of 169 runs for England after some brilliant knocks from Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.

But, in the second innings, India’s bowlers had no answers for England’s onslaught and the opening pair chased down the score easily.
