Chennai Super Kings middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu will be playing for the Baroda Cricket Team.

He himself expressed his desire to play for Baroda.

BCA’s CEO Shishir Hattangadi along with the apex council have accepted Rayudu’s wish to play for Baroda.

In this year’s IPL, Rayudu has played all the 7 matches for Chennai Super Kings but he has yet to make a mark in the tournament.

He has only 128 runs to his credit at an average of 25.60.

His best score so far has been against the Gujarat Titans where he made 46 runs.

Ambati Rayudu is the current captain of the Andhra team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he is a middle-order batsman and occasionally keeps wickets.

Rayudu will join Baroda Cricket Association’s camp after June this year and will be playing for the group in the upcoming season.

His entry into the Baroda camp will be a big bonus for the younger players as Baroda doesn’t have many senior players in their team.

Deepak Hooda shifted his base to Rajasthan after he was denied entry by Baroda due to disciplinary issues.

Ajit Lele too welcomed Ambati Rayudu into the Baroda Cricket Team. Lele is the current secretary of the Baroda Cricket Association and former BCCI secretary.

Rayudu has already announced his retirement from international cricket for India.

For India, Rayudu played 55 ODIs and 6 T20Is. In ODIs, he amassed 1694 runs with an average of 47.

In T20Is, Rayudu has only 42 runs to his credit. His personal best score in ODIs is 124*.
