In good news for the Delhi Capitals, South Africa speedster Anrich Nortje will become available for the next game against the Lucknow Super Giants on the 7th of April.

Along with Nortje, David Warner will also be available for selection when he finishes his quarantine period after coming from Pakistan.

Warner has not participated in the limited-overs series against Pakistan and has decided to follow his other Australian-contracted players to India to play the IPL.

Ricky Ponting, the Capitals’ head coach has confirmed this news.

Ponting told the media that Nortje is bowling at full capacity in the nets.

If Nortje continues bowling superbly and also gets clearance from CSA, he will be inducted into the playing XI.

Mitchell Marsh has also arrived in the Delhi Capitals camp and is recovering from his hip flexor injury.

Ponting said that they will work upon Marsh and hopefully he too will be available.

Delhi Capitals suffered a defeat against the Gujarat Titans in their last outing.

Chasing 172, the Capitals lost 3 early wickets in the Powerplay.

Ponting feels that the team showed a lot of panic which resulted in their loss. He feels that the target was very much gettable when Pant and Powell were batting.

Lockie Ferguson bowled very good spells and took 4 wickets in the match.

The Titans won the game by 14 runs.

Another sore point for the Delhi Capitals is the dismissals of opener Prithvi Shaw when he plays the pull shot.

He has now been dismissed twice playing this shot and Ponting said that they will work upon Prithvi’s shortcoming in the nets and enable him to play that shot with ease in future matches.
