In great news for the Delhi Capitals, South Africa speedster Anrich Nortje will be playing the IPL.

He will play his first game for the Capitals on the 7th of April when Delhi Capitals will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants at the DY Patil Stadium.

Nortje has arrived in Mumbai and is undergoing quarantine.

Delhi Capitals retained Nortje for a price tag of INR 6.5 crores.

So far, Cricket South Africa haven’t revealed the details of Nortje’s injury to the media.

Nortje was not part of any home and international series in winter and has been out of action since November 2021.

South Africa is currently hosting Bangladesh in a white-ball series after which they will play two Tests.

Cricket South Africa however, has given liberty to its IPL players to choose either the cash-rich league or the Test series against Bangladesh.

In other news, Lucknow Super Giants are welcoming Zimbabwean pacer, Blessington Muzarabani into their camp.

Most probably, Muzarabani will be the net bowler for the franchise.

But, Andrew Tye has been confirmed as Wood’s replacement by LSG.
