Arjun Tendulkar bags his maiden IPL wicket: Reacts dad Sachin

Arjun got his first wicket in IPL. Not only that, Arjun Tendulkar kept his cool while bowling the cruicial last over. Sachin watched his son’s success sitting in the dressing room. Sachin praised his son after the game. On the other hand, Arjun also told about the discussions that he has with his father regarding the game.

After the game, Sachin congratulated the entire Mumbai Indians team by tweeting. He wrote,

“A superb all-round performance by Mumbai Indians once again. Cameron Green impressed with both bat & ball. Ishan & Tilak’s batting is as good as it gets! The IPL is getting more interesting every day. Great going boys. And finally a Tendulkar has an IPL wicket!”

Despite having 200 wickets in international cricket to his name, Sachin could never manage a single wicket with the ball in IPL. Arjun however got got his first wicket in his second match only. And that is what Sachin wanted to convey in his tweet.

Arjun bowled only 5 overs in IPL. He bowled 4 overs with the new ball as well as 1 over with the old ball. And he took the wicket with the old ball. Arjun said that he is ready to bowl in any situation. Arjun said,

“I love to ball. Whichever situation the captain asks me to bowl, I am ready. I just try to bowl according to my plan.”

Arjun Tendulkar however does not have an express speed. But he gave only 5 runs while saving 20 runs in the last over against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He bowled the ball outside the off stump and took Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s wicket. Arjun also told about what he discussed with his father about the game.

Arjun said,

“Dad only talks about cricket. We discuss before the game. Dad tells me to bowl the same way on the field as I do in practice. I just focus on releasing the ball. If the ball swings, it good. Otherwise, I jus try not to concede runs.”
