Asia Cup 2022: Jay Shah holds off call on venue till IPL 2022 final

In recent reports for Asia Cup, the venue problem has cropped up which has become a serious issue of late.

The Asia Cup will commence on the 27th of August and will end on the 11th of September.

The tournament has been scheduled to be played in the 20-over format this year and Sri Lanka were supposed to host the tournament.

In 2023, the Asia Cup will once again be played in the 50-over format.

But, due to the current financial situation in the country, the chances look bleak for the Asia Cup.

However, BCCI secretary and President of the Asian Cricket Council, Jay Shah has revealed in his recent interview that he is in talks with Sri Lanka Cricket and that a solution would be found soon.

Sri Lanka Cricket has expressed its desire to host the Asia Cup in a safe environment.

Jay Shah has also extended an invitation to SLC for the IPL 2022 final.

They will be discussing the selection of venue after the cash-rich league ends.
