Australia’s Alana King received a full-time contract from Cricket Australia after her performance in the ICC Women’s World Cup.

Sophie Molineux did not get a place on the list.

Alana King made her debut in the multi-format event of the Women’s Ashes where she replaced the injured Georgia Wareham.

King has since then regularly featured for Australia and was the highest wicket-taker in the World Cup with 12 wickets.

She took 3/64 against England Women in the finals of the tournament.

Wareham and pacer Tayla Vlaeminck although injured managed to maintain their Cricket Australia contracts.

Alana King earned her position in the national side after displaying excellent performances in the WBBL.

Australia Women have great depth in their team and the World Cup-winning squad will remain together for another year.

Also, head coach Matthew Mott also said that they don’t see any of the players from the current squad announcing retirement anytime soon.
