Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced their ODI squad for the home series against India.

The series is scheduled to start on the 4th of December in Dhaka.

The first of these is Shakib Al Hasan who did not participate in the tour of Zimbabwe in July-August.

Another name featuring in the squad is Yasir Ali who has replaced Mossadek Hossain.

In the pace department, Shoriful Islam has not been picked for this series, instead, Ebadot Hossain has been preferred over him.

On the Zimbabwe tour, Shoriful had a hard time searching for wickets and got just one in the end.

However, he also gave away 134 runs in 17.4 overs.

Additionally, Mossadek Hossain played only a single ODI on that tour after which he didn’t get to bat.

In the recently concluded T20 World Cup as well, Hossain has low single-digit scores throughout the tournament.

The reason Taijul has been left out of the squad is that there is no room for a third left-arm spinner apart from Nasum Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan.

This ODI series is not going to be a part of the World Cup Super League which can also be the reason why the selectors have left out Taijul.

The selectors want to preserve Taijul for the Test series to follow.
