BCCI extends jersey sponsorship with BJYU’s for one more year

BCCI recently has agreed to extend the sponsorship of India’s jersey with Edu-tech partner BYJU’s for yet another year.

The deal was to expire after the ongoing India-Sri Lanka Test series.

BYJU’s came on board for the jersey sponsorship in 2019 after taking over the rights from Chinese mobile manufacturer OPPO. The deal became effective in September 2019.

BYJU’s pays BCCI INR 4.61 crores for a bilateral match while INR 1.56 crores for an international match.

The edu-tech company did not come forward for a statement but a BCCI official confirmed the news of the extension.

Meanwhile, the Apex Council has confirmed the 5 venues for the India-South Africa series in June.

According to the latest developments, it has come forward that the venues that have been picked for the series are Cuttack, Vizag, Delhi, Rajkot and Chennai. They will be hosting the home series in this cycle.

For the next cycle, venues such as Bangalore, Nagpur, Mohali and Trivandrum will be hosting India’s home series in the September-October window.
