BCCI has recently declared to give away a cash prize of INR 1.25 crores to all the groundsmen and curators.

Secretary Jay Shah thanked all the curators and groundsmen for their work.

These people behind the scenes are always hard at work preparing the ground and pitches for games.

The four associations that will receive the cash prize are MCA, Maharashtra, CAB and GCA.

Maharashtra’s four stadiums Brabourne, DY Patil, MCA and Wankhede Stadiums shared the 70 league games between them.

Kolkata and Ahmedabad hosted the playoffs for IPL 2022 where people filled the stadiums to full capacity.

BCCI has divided the money between the stadiums.

For Maharashtra’s stadiums, the board has decided to give away 25 lacs while for Kolkata and Ahmedabad, BCCI will be giving away 12.5 lacs.

This year, IPL has seen very high octane games and it is all due to the hard work of the curators and groundsmen.
