Ben Stokes

Pakistan debutant, Abrar Ahmed clipped 7 wickets on his first day. Ahmed bowled an unplayable delivery to England captain Ben Stokes that left everybody stunned.

Pakistan lost a thriller game to England in the first test match at Rawalpindi. The second game began at Multan on Friday. Pakistan gave yet another youngster a chance as the spinner, Abrar Ahmed, was handed the national camp. Stokes won the toss and chose to bat first. The pitch appeared to be different from the one in Rawalpindi. The surface had enough turn for the spinners, and they are in for a treat.

Hence, without wasting any time, Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam brought in the spinners early. The debutant Abrar Ahmed proved to be the key factor, as this was his first game and England was clueless about his tactics. The pitch suited Ahmed, and he single-handedly derailed England’s innings.

England captain Ben Stokes deceived by Abrar Ahmed

England skipper, Ben Stokes came in to bat at number 6. By the time, Stokes came in, Abrar already had 5 wickets to his name. Stokes tried to play Ahmed smartly, but the one googly that Stokes failed to read eventually got him. Ahmed’s googly landed on the leg stump line. Ben Stokes tried to defend it, but the delivery spun and picked up an edge. The edge clipped the off stump, and that marked the end of Stokes’s stay at the crease.

The ball was termed an “unplayable delivery” by the commentators. Everybody who witnessed that wicket was left shell-shocked, including Ben Stokes. The England captain did not expect such kind of delivery, and that too from a debutant. Moreover, the video of Stokes’ reaction to his wicket is going viral, and fans are loving the heart-winning performance from the youngster.

England was bundled with 281 runs on board on the first day of the second test match. However, the visitors came back into the game with the ball as they bowled out Pakistan for 202 runs on the second day. Moreover, the match is now evenly poised and open for both teams.
