Bhuvneshwar says India not pressured by Bumrah’s absence

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Senior India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar while addressing a post-match press conference has said that India are not under any stress at the moment.

With Jasprit Bumrah, not present, Bhuvi says that all the pacers are doing their designated jobs and there is absolutely no amount of pressure on them.

Bhuvneshwar has been excellent in this T20 World Cup both against Pakistan and the Netherlands. He has been picking up wickets consistently.

Says Bhuvi,

The kind of bowler Bumrah is, certainly a big loss for the team. It’s not as if we would have to do something extra that Bumrah isn’t around.

India won a tight game against the Netherlands on the 27th of October. It was a 56-run win for the Men in Blue.

Recently, Bhuvi’s death bowling came under the scanner during the Asia Cup.

Adds Bhuvi,

In all these years, I have had this one-off tournament. It’s happened. It’s done and dusted.

When media persons asked about young pacer Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar was all smiles and couldn’t help appreciating the former enough.

Says Bhuvi,

He has been amazing since his debut. He is always asking about what kind of track will there be on offer and what kind of shots the batters will play on this track. Considering his first T20 WC, he is doing really well.

Bhuvneshwar also stated that he completely switches off his social media when playing in big events like the ICC T20 World Cup.

During the World Cup, I keep myself completely off from social media and have no idea what all is written about. Because it’s the social media from which you come to know all these things.
