CAB is not ready to comment on public attendance for the 3 T20Is between India and West Indies

India vs West Indies 1st T20

India have started their home campaign against the West Indies with a win of 6 wickets in the first ODI at Ahmedabad yesterday.

While Ahmedabad is hosting all the three ODIs behind closed doors, the T20I series at Kolkata will witness 75% crowd capacity at Eden Gardens.

Avishek Dalmiya had confirmed this in his previous statement.

But now the CAB is in a blockhole regarding crowd capacity.

Dalmiya in a recent statement revealed that media reports said that there will be no spectators at the Eden Gardens.

He has refused to give any further comments on the issue.

The West Bengal Government has allowed all sports arenas to have a capacity of 75%. But media reports have put the situation in a jeopardy.

There are reports in the media that the spectators would not be allowed during the 3 T20 International matches between India and West Indies to be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, later this month.

BCCI has also not sent any confirmation letter to the Eden Gardens regarding crowd capacity at the stadium. The CAB is awaiting a decision from the Board.

However, we have not received any written intimation or information regarding the same from the BCCI till now. Therefore, we would like to refrain from issuing any reaction in the matter at present.
