India skipper Rohit Sharma and ex-skipper Virat Kohli were left utterly shocked by the events of Day 1 of the third Test at Indore.

On Day 1, the track became a spinner-friendly one as Matt Kuhnemann and Nathan Lyon wrecked havoc.

India has made only 109 runs in the first innings and are now trying to get a lead in the second innings.

On the other hand, India won the toss and elected to bat first on Day 1 with skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opening the batting.

The duo went on to stitch a 27-run partnership in the first innings which was short-lived.

Meanwhile, India lost five wickets in the span of just 18 runs in their first innings.

But, the dismissal that surprised the Indian players and fans alike was that of Ravindra Jadeja.

Promoted by the team management ahead of Shreyas Iyer, Jadeja was expected to fend off the spinners.

However, Nathan Lyon caught Jadeja in an LBW which was addressed as out by umpire Nitin Menon.

Fortunately, the review showed that the ball had hit the edge of the bat and Jadeja survived the scare.

However, on the very next ball, Nathan Lyon had Jadeja caught out by Matt Kuhnemann and the Aussies were happy.

The cameras then panned onto to Kohli who looked pretty disappointed with the dismissal.

After this, the camera then panned onto skipper Rohit Sharma who looked pretty surprised by Jadeja’s dismissal.

For the third Test, India made two changes as they rested KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami to bring in Shubman Gill and Umesh Yadav.

On the other hand, Australia also made two changes as they brought in Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green.

They have replaced regular skipper Pat Cummins and David Warner respectively.
