Aakash Chopra on Yashasvi Jaiswal

“Yashasvi Jaiswal was the first to get out and I personally felt he got carried away a little too much. This will happen, you will get this with youth. He is extremely fearless but there is a very thin line, which you will see a kid crossing quite a few times,”. Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

He further said that

“When Yashasvi played a reverse sweep, I was on commentary and I said that I feel he would get out. He is very close to my heart but I felt he would get out and he got out, not that because I said, but he got out,”. The 45-year-old Aakash Chopra added.

“You will find that there was only one good opening partnership in the five-match T20I series and nothing special other than that,”. Chopra added.

The batting performance of the Indian team in the five-match T20I series was below par level. They lost the first two matches and made a comeback in the next two matches. However, in the last match of the series Surya Kumar Yadav fought from one end. He again scored a fifty in the series. Aakash Chopra also complains on the opening partnership in the series. From the bowling perspective, Kuldeep Yadav had done a really good job. Yuzi gave away 51 runs in his four overs quota. The stand-in Skipper Hardik Pandya did many experiments by bringing in Jaiswal and Tilak Varma to bowl while defending.

Ishan Kishan was replaced by Jaiswal after the second T20I.
