Cricket Australia appoint Andrew McDonald as head coach

Cricket Australia has confirmed the news of the appointment of Andrew McDonald as the full-time head coach of Australia.

McDonald has worked under Justin Langer and then as interim head coach.

After witnessing victories against Pakistan in both Tests and T20Is, McDonald has been given a four-year contract as a permanent head coach.

McDonald has a vast coaching experience behind him. He has coached Victoria and Melbourne Renegades to title victories as well.

In the IPL, he has served as the head coach of the Rajasthan Royals as well.

Andrew McDonald was also happy with his appointment as Australia’s head coach.

He also thanked his family for their support throughout his career.

Andrew McDonald has his work all cut out for the next 12 months. He will be having lots of away Tests against Sri Lanka and India.

Additionally, he will also have to help Australia defend their T20 World Cup title later this year.
