Danni Wyatt helped Brisbane Heat reach closer to the finals of the WBBL after a fantastic win over Hobart Hurricanes.

Wyatt made 52 from 48 balls while Laura Harris made 44 from 14 balls in the game.

In the end, the Heat scored 179/9 in their 20 overs and posted 180 runs as the target.

For Hobart Hurricanes, Amy Smith tried to stop the flow of runs as she picked up 3/21.

In the second innings, Jess Jonassen picked up 4 wickets for 23 runs and kept Hurricanes restricted to 135/9.

This win now means that Brisbane Heat will face Adelaide Strikers on Thursday at the Karen Rolton Oval.

Wyatt looked in top form yet again as she smashed Molly Strano for 24 runs.

Wyatt also stitched a partnership with Georgia Redmayne in the Powerplay but Ruth Johnston removed the latter.

Wyatt continued to hit boundaries but was out by the 10th over to Smith.

Smith then tasted yet more success as she dismissed Grace Harris for a single run through lbw and Heat were 72/3 at the halfway mark.

In response to Heat’s 179, the Hurricanes started off pretty well as they made 37/0 in the Powerplay with Elyse Villani stitching a 62-run partnership with South African Lizelle Lee before a mixed-up run-out had Villani out for 25.

Lee tried her best to get close to the target but when the run rate reached over 12, she crumbled under its pressure.

After that, it was total chaos for Hobart Hurricanes and they ended up on the losing side.
