One day after being sold as the highest-paid bowler in the IPL, Deepak Chahar revealed that it was always his dream to play for the Chennai Super Kings.
He told in an interview that when he had met N Srinivasan sir in 2018, the latter told him that he had a long future with CSK.
Chennai Super Kings had bought Chahar in 2018.
Previously, he started playing in the IPL under the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant where he had the company of MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming.
Chahar also said that he always wants to play alongside MS Dhoni and cannot think of any other franchise.
He told that when the team was travelling from Ahmedabad to Kolkata, everyone was watching the auction eagerly and asking how much they have been sold for.
Chahar wanted to join CSK quickly.
He also revealed that he wanted CSK to save extra money to spend on other talented players that they can add to their pool.
Chahar has been in exceptional form in recent times for India playing aggressive cricket right from the first ball.
He wanted his cousin, Rahul Chahar to join him in Chennai Super Kings.
