IPL franchise Delhi Capitals have become a strong team from the past two years and competing heavily for the IPL trophy.

They were the table-toppers last year but were unable to win in the qualifiers.

This year, too, they will try to win their maiden trophy of the tournament.

But, they have some headaches along the way. Many of their overseas players are not available for one to three games.

The likes of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Lungi Ngidi and Mustafizur Rahman are busy with national duties.

Also, they have the problem of Anrich Nortje’s fitness as the pacer is unable to train or rehab because of it.

When Marsh and Warner come for the IPL, the Capitals will be strengthened with a high-quality top-four.

It will also have Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant.

In place of Warner, Tim Seifert will be the automatic option. In other positions, the Capitals have Lalit Yadav, Mandeep Singh, KS Bharat and Yash Dhull.

It will also be interesting to see new entrant Rovman Powell in the playing XI.

Delhi Capitals have also secured the services of Shardul Thakur who was released by the Chennai Super Kings.

Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will be the Capitals’ frontline spinners in the tournament.

Apart from Dhull, Vicky Ostwal has also been bought by the Capitals but will remain only as a backup option.
