Indian veteran wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik revealed his top three Indian performers for each format in the year 2022.
As the year 2022 comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on India’s performance in the field of cricket. The men in blue had a particularly poor year on the field. Team India lost two marquee events. The team failed to reach the finals of the Asia Cup 2022 as well as the T20 World Cup 2022.
However, there are a few positives as well in terms of the personal achievements of Indian cricketers. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Indian wicketkeeper, Dinesh Karthik revealed his top three players in each format for the year 2022. According to him, these three players performed the best for the team in their respective formats.

Dinesh Karthik named his peer, Rishabh Pant, as the best performer for India in tests. Rishabh is India’s leading test run scorer this year. He scored 680 runs at an average of 61. Pant also registered a couple of personal records for himself. However, his white-ball number is completely opposite to that of the longer format.
Dinesh Karthik further went on to say that for the ODI format, Shreyas Iyer stood out for Team India. Shreyas cemented his place in the team by scoring a total of 724 runs in 15 matches. Iyer has been consistently performing for the team, not only in ODIs but also in the test format.
Undoubtedly, Suryakumar Yadav was picked as the best performer for India in the T20s by Dinesh Karthik. Surya created history by being the only Indian to score 1000 T20 runs in a single calendar year. The Mumbai lad finished the year with 1164 runs at a massive strike rate of 187. He scored 2 centuries and 9 half centuries in the process.
