Hosts India will begin their campaign against Australia in their opening match in Chennai. This is according to Cricbuzz, a sports news website. The website also reported that India’s arch-rivals Pakistan have agreed to participate in the tournament in India. This is despite an ongoing disagreement over the Asia Cup’s schedule later this year.
Despite the fact that the World Cup’s opening and final matches are scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, Pakistan has expressed a desire for a change in venue for their group stage matches, as they are not willing to play at the Narendra Modi Stadium. According to a tentative schedule, Pakistan is likely to play their games in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru.
