Chennai Super Kings are known for making a formidable bond between players. The franchise is not just about playing cricket and winning tournaments. Former New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Scott Styris revealed a heartwarming gesture from the franchise.

South African all rounder Albie Morkel was an integral part of the franchise. He has helped the franchise win many matches in the initial years of the Indian Premier League.

Styris told that Albie Morkel’s father had never been to India and wanted to visit the country. Chennai Super Kings decided to fly him by business class even though it was not included in the contract.

Styris said about Chennai Super King’s gesture

“His father had never been to India, so CSK flew him business, not in the contract; they didn’t have to do it,” Scott Styris told on ‘Legends Lounge.’

Legends Lounge is a talk show on Jio Cinema. The show has many legendary players including Chris Gayle, Suresh Raina, Parthiv Patel, Robin Uthappa, and Anil Kumble.

Suresh Raina also shared his experience with the franchise. Raina also known as “Chinna Thala” by the franchise said that the franchise always pampered the players with lots of bonuses and gifts. So the players always felt like doing something special for the franchise.

Raina said

“They give a lot of bonuses, too. You always feel like doing something special for them; you felt like a pampered kid,” Suresh Raina said on ‘Legends Lounge’.

Hence Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League.
