As the ICC T20 World Cup has gotten underway from Sunday, cricket experts have started to name their finalists already.

Two of them, the first being former India batter, Sunil Gavaskar and the other being Tom Moody.

The qualifying matches are seeing some pretty big upsets as Namibia got the better of Sri Lanka and the West Indies were defeated by Scotland.

India have also won their first warm-up game against defending champions Australia by 6 runs.

Tomorrow, they will be facing New Zealand for their last and final warm-up game before their October 23 match against arch-rivals Pakistan.

Both these cricket experts have chosen India and Australia as their finalists for this year’s T20 World Cup.

Firstly, Gavaskar stated his case as to why India and Australia should be playing in the final.

India, definitely. And because I am in Australia so I am going to say Australia.

Tom Moody too had his say in picking India and Australia for the finals.

I am going to give you the top four. Australia, England will go through from their group. I think Pakistan and India would be leading the other group. The finalists, I have to say Australia and India.

In the warm-up game, Mohammed Shami successfully defended 10 runs in the final over. In the end, India also took four wickets from which Shami scalped three and one ended in a run-out.

Even Virat Kohli was quite active in the field as he took a great catch to dismiss Pat Cummins and then did a direct hit at the stumps to catch Tim David short of his crease.

India’s second warm-up game is at The Gabba, Brisbane tomorrow.
