Hanuma Vihari, Abhimanyu Easwaran to play in Dhaka Premier League

Bangladesh is currently hosting their domestic league tournament, the Dhaka Premier League in which they have signed up seven Indian players.

The players who will be participating in due course of time are Hanuma Vihari, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Pervez Rasool, Baba Aparajith, Ashok Menaria, Chirag Jani and Gurinder Singh.

Vihari will now be returning to Hyderabad after featuring in India’s Test playing XI.

He will leave for Dhaka in a week’s time.

Easwaran will play for the team Prime Bank.

Rasool, Aparajith, Menaria, Jani and Gurinder will also be playing for different teams this year.

Those Indian players who don’t get sold at the Mega Auctions can participate in other leagues.

Thus, in Dhaka Premier League, all 11 teams have been allowed one overseas player each.

Not only Indians, but even players from Pakistan and Zimbabwe will also be featuring in the tournament.

Mohammad Hafeez from Pakistan and Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe will be taking part in the tournament.

Earlier, Manoj Tiwary, Dinesh Karthik and Yusuf Pathan have been a part of the Dhaka Premier League.

Bangladesh’s players will only become available for the last two weeks of the tournament.

Meanwhile, BCCI has decided to finish off the league phase and one pre-quarterfinal before the IPL and then have the rest of the tournament in June, after the IPL.
