Harbhajan Singh feels KL Rahul should be more attacking

KL

India opener, KL Rahul once again fell cheaply in the first Test at Nagpur on Day 1 of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

He came in to open the innings alongside skipper Rohit Sharma and the duo of them put up a solid partnership.

However, towards the end of the day, Rahul got himself caught out by Todd Murphy’s bowling and scored only 20 runs.

In these 20, Rahul hit only a single boundary and was seen struggling and taking time.

Furthermore, Rahul has been very sluggish of late and needs to score some runs to build his confidence.

Now, former India cricketer, Harbhajan Singh has also stated that Rahul should have adopted a more aggressive approach in the first innings.

If he had done so, he would’ve been able to score more runs and it would’ve also worked as a confidence booster for him.

KL Rahul would be disappointed as he was taking more time. I believe if he could have kept an attacking approach then he could have scored more. I hope in the second innings, if he gets the chance to bat, he will score some runs for his own confidence.

Harbhajan says Australia will not be able to get past 200 runs in first Test

Furthermore, Harbhajan has also stated that India should score around 300-350 runs on this pitch.

He feels Australia will not be able to score more than 200 and will succumb to India’s spin attack on this wicket.

Harbhajan has also said that Australia will find it difficult to score on this pitch because the more a bowler bowls, the wicket will spin as well.

I am hoping that India scores 300-350 on this pitch. Captain Rohit Sharma started a great inning (and) is not out with more than 50 runs. If India scores anywhere near 350 then I doubt Australia will be able to score more than 200 in the second innings. The more you bowl on this pitch, the more it will spin. If it spins then Australia will surrender against India’s three spinners.
