Hardik Pandya after Ravindra Jadeja, creates new IPL record as all-rounder

Hardik Pandya made a personal achievement despite losing against Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The Gujarat Titans captain bagged 2000 runs and took 50 wickets in IPL. Ravindra Jadeja was the only Indian before him to achieve this feat. Four other foreign cricketers also have this feat.

Gujarat Titans played against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Hardik Pandya scored 28 runs off 19 balls in that match. He also took a wicket. He gave 24 runs in four overs. Hardik has played 111 matches in IPL so far. Hardik played for Mumbai Indians before he joined Gujarat Titans last year as the captain.

Hardik Pandya enters the list with Jadeja already existing

Hardik Pandya made his debut in IPL in 2015. He scored 2012 runs. Took 51 wickets. Hardik’s average with the bat is 29.16. Strike rate is as moderate as 146.33. Hardik’s highest score in IPL is 91. His best performance in an innings with the ball was 17 runs and three wickets.

Due to injury, Hardik Pandya once used to bat only in IPL. After that he was released by Mumbai Indians. Gujarat took him last year and made him captain. The Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya made a comeback since then. Ravindra Jadeja is in this list before Hardik. He scored 2531 runs and took 138 wickets in 214 matches. Shane Watson tops the list. He scored 3874 runs and took 92 wickets. Kieron Pollard scored 3412 runs and took 69 wickets. Jacques Kallis took 65 wickets. He also scored 2427 runs. Andre Russell scored 2095 runs and took 92 wickets in 103 matches.

However, Gujarat Titans could not steal the match away from Rajasthan Royals. Ravichandran Ashwin’s cameo with Shimron Hetmyer’s innings sealed the match’s win against Hardik Pandya.
