Harmanpreet Kaur adds another feather to her cap as she becomes the most-capped T20I player

India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur made one more record on Saturday after India women beat Sri Lanka women.

The finals of the Women’s Asia Cup marked Kaur’s 137 T20I appearance for India.

She now becomes the most-capped women’s player in T20Is.

Additionally, Kaur surpassed New Zealand’s Suzie Bates to clinch this record to her name.

Harmanpreet’s 136th T20I appearance for India was against Thailand in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup.

Moreover, Bates is now second on this list with 136 matches in T20Is and has scored 3613 runs.

Danielle Wyatt is the third player on this list with 135 matches and 2159 runs and two hundreds. Wyatt’s highest score is 124.

The fourth player on this list is Australia’s Alyssa Healy as she has 132 games and 2207 runs.

And the fifth player to feature on this list is West Indies’ Deandra Dottin who has 127 matches and 2697 runs

Harmanpreet Kaur made her debut for India in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on the 11th of June 2009.

Moreover, the Indian all-rounder is known for her big sixes and shots down the ground.

Kaur has 2683 runs in her 122 matches with an average of 27.37 for India along with a hundred and eight fifties.

During the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup, Harmanpreet became the first Indian woman to score a T20I hundred as she made 103 against New Zealand.

This knock of hers came off just 51 balls and was studded with eight sixes and seven fours that helped India clinch a 34-run win.

India women won their seventh Asia Cup title on Saturday.
