RR was in a tricky situation with a score of 4/2 after 2.5 overs. But Samson’s 60-run knock helped his team get back on track and lay the groundwork for Hetmyer to finish the job. Cricket expert Harsha Bhogle was quick to applaud Samson’s performance and called for his inclusion in the Indian T20I team.

In Match 23 of the Indian Premier League season 16 on Sunday, April 16, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by 3 wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. As a result, RR chased down the target of 178 with four balls to spare. Thanks to outstanding performances from their captain Sanju Samson (60 off 32) and Shimron Hetmyer (56* off 26).

Taking to Twitter, Harsha wrote, “I would pick Sanju Samson in the Indian T20 team every day.”

Sanju is once again making a strong case for his selection in the World Cup this year

Sanju, who made his debut six years ago, has played just 17 T20Is for India. He has scored 301 runs at an average of 20.06 with one half-century. He has also played 11 ODIs, scoring 330 runs with two fifties to his name. Despite consistent performances, he has been overlooked by the selectors, leading his fans to create hashtags in his support on social media. With Rishabh Pant out of the team for over a year due to injury, Samson has a strong chance of being selected for the ODI World Cup and the next T20 World Cup.

In the match against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals chased down the target of 178 with four balls to spare. Captain Sanju Samson led the charge, scoring 60 off 32, while Shimron Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 56 off 26. Samson played a vital role in stabilizing his team’s innings after they were reduced to 4/2 in the third over. Furthermore, this win marked Rajasthan’s third consecutive victory.
