The Rachakonda police recently arrested over a dozen people for possessing fake security passes and IPL match tickets. During the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians on April 18 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, several people entered the stadium with fake tickets.
A fan, who had bought six tickets, found that their seats were already taken. They were given alternate seats on complaining. However, they also noticed that many others were facing the same issue.
The police caught the fraudsters after spotting 13 people carrying fake security IDs to enter the stadium. This case has raised concerns about the security arrangements at IPL matches. And also on the need for stricter measures to prevent such frauds from happening in the future.
Ensuring that cheating of genuine fans is prevented and the security of players and spectators is not compromised is essential. Therefore, it is vital to conduct thorough background checks on vendors and implement strict measures to prevent the circulation of fake tickets and security passes.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD STRUGGLING TO GET GOING IN THIS IPL
The Sunrisers Hyderabad are struggling in this season’s IPL, with four points from seven games, including two victories and five losses, putting them in ninth place in the standings.
In their most recent match against the Delhi Capitals, Hyderabad bowled exceptionally well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets by conceding only 11 runs in his four overs. Washington Sundar claimed three wickets while giving away 28 runs. During the chase, Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klassen were the only batsmen who made notable contributions, scoring 49 and 31 runs, respectively. However, despite their efforts, Delhi Capitals won the game by a margin of seven runs.
Sunrisers are now in a puddle of trouble. They look an excellent team on paper but they are not converting that reputation into results. The fans are absolutely heartbroken seeing their team on the losing side. The team is struggling in playing spin. There is also a lot of chopping and changing going on.
