ICC announce T20 Team of the year 2022

International Cricket Council( ICC) has announced the T20 team of the year. Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya are the Indians to make the cut.

Jos Butler

Jos Butler helped England win the T20 World Cup after a long wait of 12 years. He scored 62 runs in 15 innings in 2022 with a Strike rate of 160.41.

Mohammad Rizwan

The Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsmen was the second-highest run-scorer in 2022 scoring 996 runs in 25 innings at a Strike rate of 122.96.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli turned back the clock in a World Cup year with a splendid hundred in the Asia Cup against Afghanistan. He played memorable innings against Pakistan to take India to an unforgettable victory.

Suryakumar Yadav

Surya was a class apart in 2022 scoring runs for fun. The No. 1 batter scored 164 runs in 31 innings at an astonishing Strike rate of 187.43

Glenn Philips

The Kiwi batter scored a hundred in the World Cup against Sri Lanka in a tricky situation. Philips scored 716 runs in 19 innings at a 156.33 Strike Rate.

Sikandar Raza

Raza had a breakthrough year in T20 in 2022. He played the crucial role of an all-rounder in the Zimbabwe side. He scored 735 runs and picked up 25 wickets in 2022. 

Hardik Pandya

A fit Hardik Pandya is always a threat to the opposition. The All rounder amassed 607 runs in 27 matches and took 20 wickets.

Sam Curran

Sam Curran’s inspirational performance with the ball took England to victory in the World Cup. Coming back from injury, he took 25 wickets in 19 matches and scored 67 runs.

Wanindu Hasaranga

Most of the batters in the World are yet to decode the mystery of Hasaranga. The Srilankan spinner who is also handy with the bat took 34 wickets in 19 games and scored 154 runs. 

Haris Rauf

Rauf was the spearhead of the Pakistani bowling lineup consistently bowling over 150 kph. The pace bowler picked 31 wickets in 23 innings including his 8 wickets in the World Cup.

Joshua Little 

Ireland’s left-arm seamer was able to make it to the team due to his brilliant performances throughout the year. He took a hat trick in the World Cup and 39 wickets in 26 innings.
