In some great news for BCCI and India, secretary Jay Shah has been appointed unopposed as the head of ICC’s Finance and Commercial Affairs.

This post has added another feather to Shah’s cap as he was elected President of the Asian Cricket Council in March and then was inducted into ICC’s Cricket Committee in April.

ICC’s F&CA is one of the most coveted committees in the global cricket governing body after the board itself.

This committee decides ICC’s annual budget along with the revenue sharing model, sponsorship, and various rights deals for a particular cycle which makes it a critical part of the ICC.

Shah is now the committee’s Member Board Representative. The F&CA is a subcommittee of the ICC’s chief executives committee.

Arun Dhumal and Jay Shah were already present in Australia before the commencement of ICC’s board meetings.

Dhumal is now an elected member of the ICC’s chief executives’ committee as per reports.

Additionally, Greg Barclay is now ICC Chairman for another two-year term and he has been elected unopposed.

Tavengwa Mukuhlani decided to withdraw during the process which then cleared the way for Barclay.

The board has given full approval to Barclay and he will now continue as ICC Chairman for another two years.

Last month, BCCI announced Roger Binny as the 36th President of the BCCI. Binny replaces Sourav Ganguly after a span of three years.

Jay Shah is going to continue as secretary while Ashish Shelar is the treasurer.

Rajeev Shukla is vice president, Devajit Saikia is joint secretary and Arun Dhumal is the IPL chairman.
