Good news for the Indian team ahead of the final of the World Test Championship. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli led India topped Australia’s Test Rankings by ICC. India dethroned Australia after 15 months.
Earlier, Australia topped the ICC Test Rankings with 122 points, ahead of India. India was 3 points behind at number 2, with 119 points. In the new ranking given, the series from May 2020 onwards has been calculated. That’s why in the 2021-22 season, 2-0 against Pakistan and 3-0 against New Zealand, they don’t get any points for Australia’s victory anymore. Because of that their points are reduced by 116. On the other hand, India’s points increased to 121.
