Former India fast bowler, Ajit Agarkar took a dig at Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and said that the latter’s style of captaincy is a slightly different brand from Kohli’s.

In an interview, he said,

Whatever we have seen, Rohit’s captaincy is a little different and calmer than Virat Kohli. But we have seen his leadership qualities in the past and not just in franchise cricket.

His cricket career is now at that stage where he has a lot of experience and has played a lot of matches.

India will play 2 big World Cups this and next year while Agarkar believes that Rohit is the perfect candidate to lead India in both of them.

Ajit Agarkar added further,

The captaincy is different for anyone series or some matches. But now as a full captain, you have to prepare the team for the 50 over world cup or 20 over world cup.

He also highlighted the fact that Rohit has to keep himself fit so that he can play more matches in the future.
